Which ticket should a family choose?
Our suggestion is to begin with the Tembo Deck option if this is mainly a short introduction to the Tokyo skyline. Choose the combo when the higher viewpoint is a priority and your children are comfortable spending longer in the tower. More height does not automatically mean a better day for a tired child.
The official ticket page lists an additional ¥500 service charge per ticket for purchases at the fourth-floor counter or ticket machines. Compare the final price for your whole group, including any package extras. Do not assume an event, meal or aquarium is included.
Weather matters even indoors
A cloudy day can limit the view, and strong winds can affect elevator operation. On September 21, 2026, the official site announced a 17:00 closure with last admission at 16:00 because of the approaching typhoon. That is a date-specific disruption, not the normal timetable.
Check the official opening-hours page and operational notice on your travel day. We suggest keeping a flexible alternative rather than promising children a particular distant landmark will be visible.
A manageable visit
Allow an unhurried block in the day, with no immediate connection or second timed booking afterwards. Queue time, elevator waits and breaks can matter more than time looking through the windows. Ask staff about the current baby-room location and stroller route when you arrive.
If animals are a better match than views, compare Sumida Aquarium. It is fine to choose only one attraction. This guide is based on official research, not a personal visit.
