Before you plan a visit

Miraikan lists a refurbishment closure from 1 October 2026 to 22 April 2027. If your trip falls in that period, choose another stop. Tickets and opening hours

Outside the announced closure, the listed hours are 10:00–17:00, with ticket sales ending at 16:30. Tuesday is normally closed, with holiday and seasonal exceptions; the year-end closure is 28 December–1 January. Permanent exhibition admission is ¥630 for adults, ¥210 for visitors aged 18 and under, and free for preschool children. The 18-and-under category is free on Saturdays. Strollers, changing and quiet breaks

The museum lists stroller loans; ask staff about availability. A fifth-floor nursing room includes a changing table. English labels are listed for permanent exhibitions, and quiet rooms are available on the fifth floor. An activity for younger children

Curiosity Field is recommended by the museum for children aged three and over, accompanied by a parent or guardian. Sessions normally run for 45 minutes, with a shorter final session. The official directions list walks of about four minutes from Telecom Center, five minutes from Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, and 15 minutes from Tokyo Teleport.
